The Casino at Portomaso Review
The Casino at Portomaso is located in Portomaso section of St. Julian's, Malta inside the Portomaso Business Tower, the tallest building in Malta. It's an upscale venue so please dress at lest smart-casual, and wear your finest after 8pm. The casino itself covers over 10,000 square feet and offers about 150 slots and 14 gaming tables. There is also a famous poker room which hosted the Battle of Malta Poker Tournaments in 2012 and 2013. In March 2015 The PokerStars.com European Poker Tour (EPT) Malta Poker Festival, the biggest ever, is held at The Casino at Portomaso.
You'll find a restaurant and bar in the casino and there is Maltese fine dining around every corner. The closest hotel is only a few steps away, although not an actual part of the property you'll only have a few steps to walk to find your slumber in comfort at the Hilton Malta.
Gaming hours are Sun-Thu 10am-5am and Fri-Sat 10am-6am. Maltese residence must be 25+ and visitors over age 18 are welcome.

The Casino at Portomaso is frequented by locals and tourists alike. The Casino offers an upscale environment that will make you feel at home. Expect a vibrant atmosphere with a dress code enforced, especially after 8pm.
There are 150 gaming machines for those who wish to simply tempt lady luck. Slots from IGT, Novomatic, Aristocrat, Williams and others are available over three areas of the casino.
For those who want to test their strategies there are 14 gaming tables offering high stakes blackjack and the sophisticated games of roulette and punto banco (baccarat). You'll also find 3 card poker and Ultimate Texas Hold'em.

Poker at The Casino at Portomaso
Portomaso is the only poker room in Malta where players can find cash games every day. Cash games start at 7pm daily. The rake is never more than 4% and the casino takes €1 every full €25 in the pot. Rakes and caps can change at any time during international events.
During international events the weekly tournaments are canceled, but otherwise you'll find a game every day of the week. Most nights the action starts at 20:00 but the Friday deep stacks and Sunday bounties begin at 19:00.
Of course the casino doesn't run 103 tables every day but the 4,000 sq. meter venue is spread over 4 distinct areas and can seat up 1,000 players for major tournaments.

Primi, or starters include Capesante al ragu’ featuring seared diver scallops and bean porridge, pancetta, fava beans, morels and Madeira jus, drizzled with truffle oil. A variety of soups and salads, fresh pastas, meats and fish are available. Be sure to try the pesca Al Cartoccio (in a paper bag) and for the ultimate in flavor order your meats from the charcoal grill.
